Wind Waker
Wind Waker were a band from Perth, Western Australia active from 2008-2010.
The band's sound has been described numerous times as "kinda metal", "terse post punk" and "surf-core".
The band formed after the demise of Perth band The Blow Up, the guitarist for that band, Lewis Waters joined Mental Powers, and the rest of the band, Clancey Williams, Louis Hooper and William Hooper, decided to start another.
The band were featured in the Love Is My Velocity Cookbook and Banknotes Compilation, released a Self Titled EP on Heartless Robot Productions in January 2010 and recorded a split LP with Astral Travel late 2010.
In March 2010 Louis Hooper left the band to move to Melbourne, he was replaced by Richard Ingham but in September of that year they traded places again. The band broke up on Halloween 2010 with Louis, Richard and William going on to form the much superior Water Temple
